Why this carrier here

The study is closed for hours at a time and occupied continuously, which makes it the one room where a mid-strength carrier stays readable all day. The nose habituates but the room is small enough that the carrier keeps re-supplying the same volume.

Paper, board and books are the dominant surfaces, and they hold scent for a long time. A carrier that is pleasant for three days can still be readable in the spine of a book three months later, so dry, clean directions age better here than sweet or resinous ones.

Keyboard, cable and screen cleaning means nothing greasy or oily should sit at desk height. Keep the carrier on a shelf above or beside the desk, never on the desk itself.
