Why this carrier here
A working kitchen is the worst room in the house for fine fragrance. Frying, boiling and roasting all push volatile compounds into the air at concentrations a diffuser cannot compete with, and the extractor hood removes whatever is left. Attempting a strong floral here is a waste of oil.
The useful move is a carrier that reads as clean and dry — citrus, herb, green wood — placed away from the hob and switched in after cooking rather than before. Placed correctly, it clears the residual cooking note instead of fighting it.
Humidity sits around 55% while pans are on, and swings hard between cooking and non-cooking hours. Formats that absorb moisture (bare ceramic, unsealed plaster) will discolour near the hob; sealed or wax-based formats do not.
