What this site collects directly

Nothing that identifies you. There is no login, no form that stores what you type, and no analytics product of our own running on these pages. The refill calculator computes its result on the server from the numbers in the query string and does not keep them.

The web server keeps an access log — IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent and referrer — for security and for counting which records are read. Logs are rotated and dropped on the hosting provider's normal schedule.

Advertising, and the Google AdSense programme

This site is prepared for the Google AdSense programme. When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners act as third-party vendors and serve ads on these pages.

The DoubleClick cookie

Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and other sites on the internet. The cookie itself identifies a browser, not a person, and it does not carry your name or your email address.

Where required by law, a consent message is shown before any advertising cookie is set, and the choice made in that message is respected on later visits. If you decline, you continue to see advertising, but it is not personalised.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to be informed, to access, to rectification, to erasure, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. Where consent is the lawful basis, that basis is consent for advertising cookies, and legitimate interest for the security logging described above.

We do not sell personal data, we do not build profiles of individual readers, and we do not run any processing that produces a legal effect about you. Requests can be sent to the address at the bottom of this page and are answered within thirty days.

Your rights under the CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Reedwright does not sell personal information. The sharing that takes place when advertising is enabled is limited to the advertising partners described above, and you can opt out of it through the consent message or through the browser-level controls those partners honour. To exercise any CCPA right, write to the address below.

Children

This site is written for adults setting up a home. It is not directed at children under thirteen, and no personal information is knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

The date at the top of this page changes whenever the text changes. The current revision was last re-checked against the live site on 2026-09-19. Material changes — a new advertising partner, a new analytics product — will be described here before they take effect.
